Martin Phillips is a Senior Project Manager at Leo Wealth and has called Japan home since 1997. Based in Tokyo, he is driving the firm’s expansion in Japan and helping establish Leo Wealth’s long-term presence in one of Asia’s most important financial markets.
Having lived and worked in Japan for nearly 30 years, Martin brings a practical understanding of the opportunities and challenges faced by expatriates and internationally mobile professionals.
Martin holds the International Certificate for Financial Advisers (ICFA) and the Financial Planning Certificate (FPC), both awarded by the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) in the United Kingdom.
A keen investor and follower of global markets, Martin has a longstanding interest in personal finance, investing, and the economic trends that shape financial decision-making. He speaks fluent Japanese and enjoys helping international clients navigate both the financial environment and life in Japan.
Outside of work, Martin is a keen golfer, although much of his free time these days is devoted to his wife and two children. He enjoys family life in Japan and understands first-hand many of the opportunities and challenges that expatriate families face when building their lives abroad.
